Description of symposium

The CHIPTS Development Core is offering this seminar to assist investigators in
strategically selecting pilot topic areas, identifying achievable research aims,
writing successful applications, and leveraging pilot data into larger research
proposals.

Some of the salient issues that will be addressed include:
• What are effective strategies for developing strong pilot applications?
• How does one go about putting together a research roadmap or trajectory
so that pilot grants provide the preliminary data necessary to secure the
next level of funding?
• In addition to CHIPTS and the UCLA AIDS Institute, what are other good
sources for pilot funding?
