To assist the Ford Foundation and other foundations and institutions to better understand the international HIV/AIDS policy landscape, the UCLA Program in Global Health, with support from CHIPTS and others, produced a landscape analysis based on interviews with 35 key informants in senior leadership positions at a variety of major institutions conducting international HIV/AIDS work, including foundations, multilateral organizations, governmental organizations, and NGOs. Key informants were asked to name the most urgent and important policy issues related to their HIV/AIDS work that they saw as relevant for the next 5 years, and to identify the issues and populations “falling through the cracks” and not receiving the resources or attention they deserved.
