Dr. Li Li joined the Center for Community Health, UCLA Semel Institute, in 2002. She has spent the past 20 years conducting research in the areas of HIV prevention, substance abuse treatment, and social and cultural aspects of health promotion and services. She specializes in research design and data collection strategies, as well as methodological and cultural issues related to conducting research in developing countries. Currently, Dr. Li is a Research Scientist at Center for Community Health and Research Sociologist at Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, UCLA Semel Institute. She has received research grants to examine HIV-related stigma among service providers in China and to study Chinese families and children impacted by HIV/AIDS. As the Co-Director of the CHIPTS Methods Core, Dr. Li oversees the day-to-day management of the Core, including the scientific consultation process, data analysis and management services, and IT support provided by the Core.
